Finally Find Relief
from Debt
|
What a relief it is that you have finally found this page!
You can now put your debt behind you and carry on with your
life as if nothing ever happened. Doesn't that sound easy?

I am sure that if you have been looking for debt relief solutions
for any time at all, you have come across plenty of silly
claims such as this. There is no shortage of entities claiming
to offer debt relief in a can. However, as you know, it just
aint that easy.
Debt relief is like many other aspects of life. You simple
get what you pay for. You may be asking yourself, "I
have to pay for debt relief?" In a way, yes you do.

Paying for Debt Relief
|
|
It already cost you plenty of money to get into the financial
trouble that you are currently in and it's going to cost you
some more in order to find the relief that you are seeking,
but don't worry. It's not all that bad and you may never even
know that you've paid.
Some debt relief solutions don't require that you pay any
money up front. When you hear this, and if you've done much
research on the subject of debt relief, what most likely comes
into your mind first is the nonprofit debt counseling services
that are widely advertised.
Just keep in mind that using a nonprofit debt relief organization
is not going to save you a dime. It's just a gimmick that
is used in order to give people the impression that they can
use some government funded program in order to get out of
debt. It aint that simple.
In the real world (that's where we are right now), you have
to pay for things, and debt relief is no exception. You see,
there are really only two options when it comes to debt relief
and those are debt consolidation or debt negotiation.

Debt Relief Through Negotiation
|
|
Yes, it is possible to negotiate your debts away. Your debt
is a commodity that can be bargained for. You just have to
know how to go about getting the best deal for your debt.
In order to get the relief that you need, all you have to
do is convince your creditors that you can no longer pay them
what you owe and that you are on the fringe of doing the unthinkable
which is, of course, filing for bankruptcy.
As you could probably guess, this is easier said than done.
Now we are finally getting to the part where you have to pay
for what you get. Who are you going to pay? Well, you are
going to pay someone to take on the task of bargaining for
your debt.
This type of relief is found through debt
negotiation services. These services will take on your
debt, contact your creditors and negotiate a better deal with
them. Then they keep the difference.
Of course, this is a very primitive explanation of how the
debt negotiation services actually work. There is much more
to it. The bottom line is that it's a viable way to find debt
relief.

Debt Relief Through Consolidation
|
|
Another way to find debt relief is to actually take on more
indebtedness! This is called a debt
consolidation loan. In essence, you get one big loan in
order to pay off all of your little loans.
You just need to make sure that your 'big loan' has a low
enough interest rate so that your payment is low enough to
justify this type of action. If the combined total of your
monthly payments is $400 and you get a consolidation loan
where you only have to pay $300 per month, you may not be
getting the relief that you need.
The best thing to do is to weigh all your options and see
which one offers the most relief. Then you have to decide
if that solution is enough relief to keep you from filing
for bankruptcy.
For most people, a good rule of thumb is that you need your
new monthly payment to be about one half of what you were
previously paying but this number is completely subjective.
Different financial situations will require different amounts
of relief.
So do some research on debt
negotiation as well as the types of debt
consolidation loans that are available. Don't be afraid
to get some help. You may want to get some counseling or even
hire an attorney, depending on your situation.
